Conditions Treated
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are often associated with the treatment of pain. While it is true that acupuncture is effective for treating pain, that is really the tip of the iceberg regarding the conditions acupuncture can treat. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can treat a wide array of conditions ranging from infertility to autoimmune disease to degenerative diseases.
The particular treatment approach and the actual modalities a practitioner will use, depend on a variety of factors. For instance, two patient presenting with the same condition (headache) may receive very different treatments. It will depend on the patient’s underlying constitution. Are they robust or are the depleted. Is their specific imbalance due to an excess condition or a deficient condition. A practitioner needs to understand each of these nuances to craft a treatment plan that will address the individual patient and the specific disease process.
