About West Village Acupuncture

Looking for an NYC Acupuncturist? The more you know about your acupuncturist, the better decision you can make. There are many NYC Acupuncturists and it is important to learn as much as you can so that you can make a knowledgeable choice.

Selecting the Right Acupuncturist

Individualized Service

One thing to consider is whether you will be provided with individualized service. Because we are owner operated, every patient receives individualized care from the owner of the business.

Acupuncturist Education

Another factor is the education received by your acupuncturist. In NYS, the educational levels of acupuncturists are varied. Some attended Institutes and received Certificates or Diplomate status, while others attended Colleges and received Masters Degree in Acupuncture or Traditional Oriental Medicine. The Masters Degree reflects a higher level of academic rigor and the Traditional Oriental Medicine Degree is more comprehensive than the Acupuncture Degree, as it encompasses herbal studies.
